Know who has each laptop, and when each licence renews
Assets keeps your laptops, devices and software licences in one register, from the day you buy them to the day they come back or are retired. It is handy for an IT manager who needs to know which laptop is with whom, and for an accountant who reviews depreciation.
What the register keeps track of
A full record for each item
Note the serial number, model, purchase date and price, condition, warranty expiry and location. If you already keep a spreadsheet, import it from CSV.
Licence seats and renewals
List each licence with its seat count and cost per seat, and see how many seats are in use. Set a renewal alert window, and a licence is flagged once it falls inside it.
Handovers and returns stay on record
Give equipment to an employee and note the return date and condition, so each item builds up a history. When someone leaves, start a return to get a checklist of their equipment and take back their software seats.
Depreciation, month by month
Run depreciation each month for equipment that has a purchase cost, then review the totals by month.
Works with
- The equipment register lives in HRSync, where you assign equipment and record returns, and Assets opens that same register from its own page.
When you request access, tell us which equipment you'd record first.
Sending a request doesn’t create a workspace, and every request is reviewed before anyone is given access.
